Finally, garage is all watertight. Just the tiles and painting to do. Having day off today and going to have a drive into Northumberland for lunch somewhere.

Thanks for your thoughts guys... I'm really pleased, as is my neighbour who has been on holiday for two weeks and returned to find it built. I have hammered in over 15kg of nails in two weeks and have had to have my signet ring cut off today as my right hand has swollen up badly... the lady in the shop compared my hands and said my left hand was also swollen... I told her my right hand was swollen with hammering and, the left was swollen because I'd hit it that many times with my hammer. Anyway, yes the boards are treated but will also be painted with Cuprinol decking stain to match the other timber structures in the garden.

I have completed the back gable today and have incorporated a small first floor door, to house long items like my ladders and, I've also built in an owl nesting box... As for my B, we went to Alnwick today which is a pretty market town in north northumberland. Whilst the rain held off, it still isn't 'top down' weather here. I did see a Dutch Mazda MX5 on the A1 with, what looked like a motorbike type box, which had been painted to match the car, mounted on a boot rack. Could this be the solution to the limited boot space?

Read em and weep - you Cyprus and Middle Eastern members. This is the Scottish Borders with blue skies and bright sunshine. Mind, it didnt last long and rain is forecast...

Steve

Oy!! we still need garages in the Middle East.... Ok, they are ther just to keep the sun and sand off.... but we still need them......:slayer:

Actually was in the UK last week replacing a roof on my sisters kitchen extension.... Nothing near as impressive as your garage but I still appreciated the few dry days I had trying to get it finished before it rained.....

Anyway. I now have 2 weeks relaxing in Bonaire, Netherland Antillies... Lots of rain showers but I intend to spend most of my time diving so it doesn't matter if i get wet...

Still on the look out for any Barchettas here...

BTW... Nice of you to put the door in for the owls

Ok.. don't laugh but, when I was checking the front fog lamp bulbs, I noticed a large black cylinder with a screw cap. The cylinder is mounted on the drivers side, to the rear of the radiator with the screw cap downwards and level with the underside of the engine. What is it?

Steve

Ahahaha! That would be the air filter housing...:D
