i go to the bakc of the car and i have no indicator flashing just the rear night (red) flashing

ok so back indicator is gone.>

fair enough
sometiems it comes back up, and then it flashes both wiht the indicator and the night light flashes>>

however if i put on my hazards, every single indicator wokrs perfect on the car????

any ideas what is going on>>

Could be a problem with the stalk or with the light unit itself. Have you tried just changing the bulb?

Andy

this is almost certainly connected to your radio post btw...

Try and keep your problems together, as post as much info as possible (make/model, age, mileage, sevice history, and all faults) as its clear they are related now that i've noticed both you posts describing different symptons but looking for different causes.

I think you'll find they are all symptoms of the same electrical fault...

HERE is the other post for anyone else who i'm confusing

Look, its all related, and i'm sure its just a bad earth. I've already tried to tell you that here

I appreciate you perhaps don't know what i'm talking about, in which case its a simple fix for a local garage. Just go in, tell them you think you have a bad earth, and that its affecting your indicators, and stereo. They'll sort it pretty quickly, and shouldn't charge much at all.

Other than that, all i can suggest is that you give your car the treatment that the dell tech support guy suggested to the customer who was trying to use his pc during a powercut. :(

Again, if English isn't your first language, i'll apologise and keep repeating myself. except louder ;)

apologies Buzz,

i presumed you were guessign (as abvoe) it was bad earth nothing definite.

as it with others its all guesswork, i was plannign to go the to the garage to eliminate msot issues.

sorry i did nto keep you updated.

can i ask on how you turn off the auto-dim feature?

also why is the left indicator causing a problem and not the right
and this has occured all of a sudden?

you might say you have answered this but it is a bizarre situation.

lol Scotty, the later at night i post, the grumpier my posts get ;0

@ Lemon, no need to apologise to me. I'm just a grumpy old fart who cant sleep at night. Best of luck re-earthing the light cluster though. FYI, you'll need to sort this before an MOT, as your red tail lights are probably being affected and flashing when they shouldn't do :(

What model is your cd player? Each have different menu's so its hard to guess where you'll find the auto-dim setting. just faff around a bit and you might find it, or check the manual (i know thats not a blokey thing to do, but sometimes we have to)

tricky one

and now no one responds>>
