hi all.ive had trouble lately with my bravo idling in traffic.i recently had it serviced, had a new battery, and had all the throttle body taken off and cleaned.also had a diagnostic done which showed no faults.what is happening is when im in traffic and i dip the clutch and take my foot off the accelerator the revs drop away the car shudders and the engine cuts out.since the throttle body was cleaned it has ran fine for ten days until tonight.it is a 1999 bravo 1.2 and has 46000 on the clock.dont know what to do next.thinking of taking it to fiat garage but worried about the repair bill.anyone got any ideas?would replacing the idle valve solve it?

if cleaning the throttle body helped i would try replacing it and also the idle speed control valve if not any of them i dunno lol

i phoned my mechanic today and told him the problem had returned.he says it will be the actuator.he is ordering one for me and charging £80 and that includes fitting

i had the same problem and my dad seems to think its the butterfly valve where the air box pipe bolts onto the engine... so i replaced that pipe and the idle stepper motor and now its fine

since he changed the actuator it has been running fine.is the butterfly valve not in the actuator?
