Yep my eper also showed left hand drive views and thats why I didnt put it up ..I thought it might not be applicable to the posters needs..

beat you to it, had already sent an ebay message to EVERY breaking stilo on ebay, asking for one, just got to wait now...

i wonder if that uses the same hinge.....lol
Trust me wait until you get the Insert and put the HU in place before you get one as it probably wont shut unless you have a super flat HU. You can test by trying to put the broken one in place.

Hi guys, i have this prob aswell Fiat quoted me £270 parts and Labour or £78 parts only. I have tried to do it myself but im ripping my hands to bits. i dont suppose anyone who has managed to fix this lives in the Devon area that would bewilling to lend a hand ??

mate, as soon as i get one from a scrappies (proving elusive) and as soon as stu sends me the insert, ill put up a pictorial how to....and solve this bugger once and for all!!!

I just came across this post... mine went too
The hinge as a clean snap in the middle of it so ive just been feeding it back into the hole when needing to close it.
I was thinking of gluing the broken part and trying to attach it back inside but this may be making more trouble then it actually is. Ive always thought it was a dash out job but to be honest i dont think its really worth it. Maybe just get used to it being the way it is?

on Thursday i have an exam, after that (been prepping for it ALLOT) ima try and sort all the Lil niggles in My car
(scratch, glove box hinge, ****ING GROUND LOOPS (if you get them ull no how annoying they are) and shiny new SS long life exhaust)
so when Ive done the hinge ill let you know what i did, if it worked....
and for Stu, the shroud fitted fine with the HU in, and it still closes, (its very close tho and if i press the glove box cover it mutes)

My 2004 5dr glovebox lid broke tonight.
It had been stiff and 'grating' for a few months - I had squirted some lube into the geared mechanism, but I was avoiding opening it because it felt like it was gonna break. And tonight it did, even with a gentle two-handed opening - one hinge snapped straight across a major section (haven't looked closely yet).
Buggeration, it doesn't look like an easy fix.

i FINALLY managed to get one from a scrappers, £20 delivered, i got the old one out, but i cant get the new one in any hints???? the screws just wont go into the hole sin the dash....

did it.....took 4 hours to put in 3 screws (thats where i gave up, 3 are more than enough) u need a flexi socket extension and ure away...well i say away but i mean sweating in the heat whilst decimating your hands.....
