Technical Broken Stilo, ECU??? PLEASE HELP!!

yesterday some how i broke my stilo, It has a few faults on the ecu, mainly 'boot open' fault and it turned out to be the metal ring needed fixing, so fixed that, then it said 'num plate bulb' fault, even thou they were both working, fiddled around with them, and fixed that. Then it said aulternator fail, some times. last thing it said was 'Loose connection' IT was also asking for a service, Someone told me to hold down trip or mode while it was off, and turn the key, and it will delay the service warning.

It didn't, as soon as i done this, it starting saying ABS Fault, EBD fault etc. And just ticks, it wont start or turn over. All it does now when you turn the key is Tick, it sounds like it coming from the engine, and with every tick, the lights on the dash and radio flash?

Any ideas? the car will not start or do anything! it will not even turn over! I dont get how you can write off a car by holding down trip! is this fiat's 'master break' button or somthing.

I guess the only thing i can do is toe it to fiat to have a look, im just clueless to what happened, it was running and driving minutes before it broke, so postitive it doesn't actuly have abs fault or engine fault or anthing machanicly wrong with it!

Forgot to add, its a 2004 1.9 JTD Stilo 3dr
And i have disconnected the battery over night, and just reconnected it and made no difference

Sounds very much like a dead/dying battery to me, when mine died it threw just about every fault code up on the dash

Use a cheap multi meter and check the battery
if it's below 12.4v then it's not charged or holding
a charge. A battery cell may have gone faulty.

more likely that his alternator didn't charge it (as per fault message) check ground to alternator resistance - if no problem and new battery doesn't help - you'll be looking @ new alternator

Thanks alot for your replys, put my mind at ease a little! i will check the battery and alternater soon, so its likely not to be a ecu problem? i dont understand how it happend so fast, but cars will cars!
