Hi can anyone help? I was renewing my air filter today on my 2012 Fiat 500 c 1.2 lounge convertible and struggled to release the rear of the housing from its rubber grommet. When I succeeded I noticed I had snapped off a thin (4mm approx) pipe that protruded from underneath the rear of the housing, connecting to a rubber pipe about a centimetre thick disappearing towards the bulkhead. (The thicker pipe running to the front top of the engine was fine.)
My questions are; what is this thinner pipe for? and is it crucial I have this repaired soonest?
I put the housing back together and took the car for a short run and all seems well so far...
I was also unable to find a schematic of the housing on-line, in order to see if that pipe connection can be purchased as a separate little part, or if the whole rear of the housing is required?
Any help appreciated.
