Hi all i have a fiat bravo 150 tjet and im looking to get some more power and handling out of it WITHOUT voiding my warranty. My plan is to install a second turbo when the warranty is up or to swap out for a larger one. i recently had the resonator removed and a new exhaust installed. Im looking at a spring kit next. Any other things i can do to without voiding the warranty???

I think that pretty much EVERYTHING you do on your engine is considered an upgrade from the dealership which will void the warranty. As for the second turbo, that made me laugh for many reasons! Swapping with a bigger turbine is possible but the increase in power would require a clutch upgrade among other things (quite expensive).

so any remapping will void it? the turbo iss....a plan...which i will try deal with later haha

Search the forums for TMC Tuning Box. It's an easily detachable alternative to remap (+30 bhp) that would not void your warranty, unless you forget to remove it before going to the garage :p

Other options you may consider are induction kit and performance exhaust, although I am not sure about the second in terms of warranty...

My dealer was fine with the remap and honouring the warranty. If you take the tuning box off for a warranty claim that the box has caused you are effectively defrauding the warranty company.

I have full stainless cat back exhaust fitted on my 150mjet, since then, car went in for new radiator and EGR valve under warranty, they know the exhaust been change but no question ask. ;)

Installing a tuning box does not automatically invalidate your warranty, only if the tuning box is proven to be the only possible cause of damage to the car could the dealer or manufacturer refuse to repair it under warranty. This has never happened with my product in 10 years so I don't believe it will be an issue for you.
I can also now supply hybrid turbo chargers for the 1.4 Tjet, this is a modified original Tjet IHI RF3 turbo with larger compressor housing and internals, balanced shaft and new kit parts and uprated wastegate actuator. I am offering an exchange service so you get the new hybrid and return your original turbo. This turbo will give significant improvements both in level of boost and how long the turbo holds boost for. You can use this in conjunction with the TMC Tuning box or we can remap the car specifically for it.
If you need any more info please call or email me.
Cheers

What sort of gains does this give alongside the tuning box, and more importantly what are the costs like?

Hi GibBravo, it will definately give gains well beyond the standard turbo, we'll be fitting some towards the end of May on Abarths and dyno testing so I can give you accurate results then. Regarding prices I can't put that up on the forum in case it changes at any point but if you email me I'll give you an indication. This is a fully modified hybrid turbo, it will make a significant difference.

Cheers

The turbo swap will void the warranty wont it?

Technically it may but because its the original turbo just modified most people would never notice it changed, the compressor housing will be bigger and to be honest unless you were told to look for that you probably wouldn't notice.
