i would personally never trust stretched tyres

do you really want thinish sidewalls pointing at an angle where you're possibly one stone away from damaging the tyre/puncturing it?

theres a difference between cornering load and a rogue stone taking out the tyre in a straight line at 70mph though, very unlikely but has happened.

doesnt look a big stretch on them though so will be more than likely ok, would still personally avoid them though, just my own personal preference

same wheels on the bm on that vid as mine :D

i was always under the impression the m3 and ac wheels said BWM motorsport on that big ring in the middle :S:S.

and yeh, i have never and will never run stretch. BUT if its the only way to have the wheels you want, then go for it.

nah, it's the other way around on that design :) the originals dont have the motorsport printing on them and are blank on that ring :) it's confusing, because BMW did seemingly do a hugely limited number with the motorsport printing on them, but i think it was only available on the E36 M3 LTW (lightweight) and M3 GT, the aftermarket ones copied the engraved BMW motorsport print from them to make them appear higher spec i think

two pics of m3's with the plain ringed wheels :)

The offset is correct so that the inside of the wheel sits as near as possible to stock to stop them clipping the springs. The stretch is needed as anything over 8J on a Bravo can be tricky; the offset is low for a stock car to begin with, a VW is sitting mid 40s stock so they wouldn't require stretch, the Bravo is 31 stock. My plan is to downsize next though, 17x8s will get the stance spot on. But its all a learning curve.

Just bought another set of wheels, same as the alloys I already had that I sold...may even be the same set judging by the odd tyre size.

Steelies are sitting in the Trades section for anyone interested.

Think i may have stumbled upon a nice set up; 17x7 ET10. Currently got my new old alloys on and selling the steels. Down to three sets now...and the Coupes are being turned into furniture :)

Right, a weeks worth of mindchanging has amounted to this; the Drifz + adapters are up for grabs for the right price, and the Coupe's are definitely up for grabs now, bored of having them sitting about. Going to take a big loss on it all, but I am honestly past caring, sick to the back teeth of just having wheels everywhere. So, once I've cleared all the wheels, I am getting a set of 3SDM 0.05's, and having them as summer wheels, and my alloys as my winters.

But please, please, if you have any suggestions or opinions, do share. Bored of making some expensive and crap mistakes on this car now.

they sort of look like a wheel ive seen before .. but cant remember the name of them .

Im unsure what there going to look like on the car , But It may look well and ill have to eat my words :)

Land Rover Mondials, and they are based on Ferrari F40 wheels. I like them, but like you say, unsure what they'll look like fitted. I like a closed spoke, Monoblock looking wheel, but something like a Merc Monoblock is a bit boring.

When I have a spare minute, to photoshop!
