Love my Bravo overall.. but I'm finding the seating position to be the only thing bothering me.

I'm not tall at 5 ft 10, and yet I am finding myself with cramped up legs, a lack of under thigh support.. and to top it all off, the active spec features seats that I fly out of round bends.

I don't expect much at all really from a base model car.. but this falls someway short of my loooverly Alfa 156 :(

Are there any good straight swap seats around? I am currently on the look out for;
Mito (look quite similar though, not sure they would be any different)
500 Leather seats look decent
Grande Punto Sporting seats look supportive
Abarth (expensive)

I am wondering if anything older may fit? Such as Alfa GT/ 156/ 147 etc?

I do have a set of 156 seats, although in "cream" they are not going to look right in my car...

Anyone tried anything different out with good results?

Cheers :D

MiTo seats will fit

Hi

Three weeks into Bravo ownership and I agree seats are probably its weakest point(especially after five years of driving a Volvo S80).Lack of under thigh supprt seems to be the biggest problem combined with an accelerator pedal that is too high with the result that you tend to keep your right foot "up in the air" which isnt very comfortable(perhaps the solution is to keep the pedal to the metal not that does much for fuel consumption.)

With my Sport seats at least there is no chance of slipping out on corners.

At least the fuel consumption of the Bravo must be a big improvement on the 156!

You need to think a bit about the seat setting, first thing is to set the seat backwards so that you can only just at an absolute stretch on tip toe get the clutch right down weird but how it's laid out! Steering wheel pulled well out and back rest adjusted to feel ( initially ) a bit too upright then tweak the lumbar control and seat height until you get it right the driving position is weird but you do get used to it. As regards falling out on corners I figure you drive a lot faster that me?!

Should add that I have a delta but as far as I can tell the seats and particularly driving position are near identical

Yeah I tried that but I then suffered from having my head partially blocked by the B pillar. Not good for safe driving if I can't see out of the window. Then of course there is the issue of my poor rear passengers who then have even less leg room. The only sensible option is to suffer a high right leg in favour of seeing out of the window and giving my rear passenger a more pleasant journey.. My girlfriend sits in the rear with my daughter and it's best for me if I keep her happy (y)

I think Surfs up hit the nail on the head when he said the pedal is too high. This causes the leg to sit too high when at cruising speed and thus you feel a lack of "thigh support".

As for literally falling out of the seat I'm not really doing that haha, I'm sure the seatbelt holds me in the seat just fine. But, having driven a few Alfa's it's a much more pleasurable ride when you are snug in the seat and there is limited movement when going round bends :)

Of course a delta does have a longer wheelbase ........ didn't really consider that. I suspect that the issues are all to do with conversion to rhd

They do look like they have a lot more side support, and you know they are a straightforward swap.

I don't find the seats uncomfortable in my Dynamic, but they don't have all that much grip to the sides so you can move about a bit more than is ideal.
