Styling Bravo front seats

The dynamic seats are identical to the actives, only difference being style. So they can't be up to much imho. As far as I am concerned they are average at best and I've sat in far better seats..

It's all about previous experience.. regardless of speed into the corner feeling nice and snug is always a great bonus.. seats like the Vectra SRI 150 have recaro half leathers fitted and they were awesome when I fitted them in my van. Likewise Calibra Turbo Leathers are both very comfy and I wired in the heated element too so toasty warm. Then of course Alfa 156 leathers, my large Signum seats and the Astra MK5 Design half leathers. All outclass these seats massively.

There must be a reason why the sports interior is more sculpted and I think it's to improve comfort and road holding. That's part of the reason why sports pack is a £1200 optional extra.

If nothing else it will improve the look of the car inside :)

My next plan is to look at the accelerator pedal because I feel fairly sure it sits too high when at cruising speeds. I'm not going to give up on this car cause I want to keep it for along time.. watch this space lol..

How's that, the Active doesn't have adjustable Lumbar support does it?

I've no issue with the comfort of my Dynamic seats with adjustable lumbar support.

Only different I can see with the sports having been in a couple is the way they hold you better is an unexpecting passenger as the car gets thrown into bends, nothing that the Dynamic seats can't cope with if you're expecting it though from experience.

Although the sports seat do look a bit better to the eye.

Wasn't 100% I just looked at a few examples on Autotrader and they look the same as my seats. I'm still going to keep an eye out for something as a replacement because I'm not happy unless I'm messing :p

Ultimately the idea behind this thread was to see what other models/ cars will be a direct bolt in replacement as I'm not 100% happy with my "Active" seats. Don't get me wrong, they are fine on my daily commute. But a few weeks back I drove over 100 miles in it and I found the whole experience very uncomfortable..

I'm not sure if the active have the adjustable lumbar support. But I have mine as deep as possible and I sink into the seat lovely, it's the most comfortable car I've owned. Although the Megane's seats were, to my surprise, very good also.

What made you get rid of the Megane? I was looking at them before I got the Bravo. I'm struggling between Corsa 1.3 CDTi, Grande Punto 1.3 D and Clio/ Megane 1.5 DCi for my girlfriend as her first car. Just small and diesel :)

Honestly I have a list longer than my arm. My main Issue was just the build quality. The panels don't meet. The dashboard is vile plastic that creaks and groans under light cornering. All the fascias creak when you press the buttons. Then there were the electrics my god they are terrible. Every week a different bulb would blow and the headlights were not an easy task as I had the facelift model which necessitated bumper and headlamp removal. I had the car 6 months and both rear windows failed. One of them failed twice. The air con unit was crap and stunk it would fill the car with crap from the roads and engine even though I'd changed pollen filters and cleaned the system out countless times. I even had it re-gassed. I had constant air bag failures. I had to have the clock spring changed twice. And bother connectors under the seats and it would still come back. If it rained it would pool up in the skuttle panel and actually flow in through the vents into the glovebox and down into the foot well. I pulled the carpets up to find 2 inches of water sloshing around in the foam around all the electrics. It was the car from hell. Take one look at the megane boards on the popular renault forum. And you will see. Mine was a 57 plate with only 34,000 on the clock. So was barely even run in. The car wasn't all bad. The ride was comfy. The engines are pretty good I had the 1.6 VVT which was pokey and quite efficient. It also had a pretty good cruise control system. However the pros were very much outweighed by the cons. Plus at the end if the day it's an ugly car. The dashboard is a horrible place to be. And considering it had such a big ass for a car the boot space wasn't all that good, it wasn't very tall or deep. It was wider than the Bravo's though as It had no arches. But the parcel shelf is really low. Take a look at one in a car park the base of the window to the top of the bumper panels is all you get. If I could advise anything with confidence it would be to avoid those things like the plague. I will never buy a French car again. Oh and it wasn't just mine, I have know 3 people to have them and every single one has some severe electrical issue that cost an arm and a leg to solve.

What rattle, do u have diesel?
I have dynamic without lumbar support and u can easily open seat from behind and add some foam, and from front side u can open too... i have made seat more comf.. and have no trouble in corners or long trips.

I will add some pics and u will see the difference.

have not time to photo on sunny day, but u can see the diffrence and i tell you its better then sport seats :)

Just throwing this out there with the seat padding idea. Bare in mind that there is safety involved with your seat It is designed specifically to act in a certain way if an accident occurs. This includes the seat belts etc. It also has an airbag in the seat.

I'm not in anyway saying that adding foam DOES affect it. I'm saying there COULD be side affects with this. And you may want to bare it in mind before messing with a seat that has pyrotechnics inside of it.

This mod is nowhere near the size of the bump that factory lumbar support could give you. Plus, the seats are shorter under the thighs and lack side support. How they could be any better?
Yeh my dynamic seats with the lumbar support look much better than this. I think changing your seats would be the best idea for you. Especially when you take my previous post into account. Just my opinion like.

This mod is for me 100% better, giving me more thig support and more soft seat! thats why you see plump but its not because foam is softier and you fall down and thats is the reason why i cant imagine to seat in stock mod. Yes it has air bag but it is not affecting on this mode. For me is that super thats the point. And i still dont understand why the factory put those retarded seats in car in 2008!!! The old bravo had 3x better seats and 3x better driving position!?
