General bravo dashboard

Need some help, I have a 2001 Bravo 1.6 HLX. I have a very intermittent problem with the speedo not always working. I have been told on here that the best thing to do is replace the dials. On my model I have electronic milometer readout with temp etc. I dont want to get the wrong type so can anyone tell me which models and from what year this was fitted as it does not seem to be on the older models.

Also I am looking at getting some second hand dials is the mileage stored in the dashboard or the ECU, as I would like to try and get some with mileage close to mine.

Try reseating the connectors first. Might just be a loose connection.

The mileage is stored in the dials, and there should be a few Bravo HLX/Brava ELX in scrap yards. Marea have different dials which might fit, but not seen anyone try a Marea binacle in replacement for a Bravo/a one before so no idea if the connectors are the same.

With any fault on a car you should check the easy things first.

In your case I would check the speedo sender on the gearbox first rather than assuming the gauges are broken.
