Hi guys,
I couldn't find info regarding proper opening and working temperature of this thermostat.
It is supposed to open at 88 degrees but my works at 85 degrees at about 95% of time, regardless if it's hot and if I have a/c turned on. Sometimes it goes above 90,up to 96 but rarely. Even when it does dpf regen it's around 86-87 degrees.
SO, my question is, what should be proper working temperature of this engine?
Should I consider this thermostat faulty?
Car burns a lot of fuel and does often regens....

Today's log attached below

Thanks

Hi,
There's today's data,attached.
Dpf sensor pressure is around 1 and 6mbar on idle and max that I have at 4000+ rpm is around 100mbar at peak. At 3000 rpm sits around 70mbar at peak max.
Dpf i checked, normal clogging. In city regens are asked to be from ecu from 130 to 170km,open road is 400+km.
I think high fuel consumption is causing fast dpf clogging....
So,regarding coolant temp, what do you think? Maybe ecu is trying to worm up engine above 88 degrees but it can't so that's why is high fuel consumption?

An update,
Few days ago I have replaced thermostat (original fiat installed) and coolant temperature sensor (swag). Currently operating temperature is between 93 and 98 degrees, mostly 95. Car is heating up much faster. I never had such high temperature so I've called garage few times to check and they said all is fine.
So, 95ish degrees is fine now, according to them...
