Boot lock fault

My boot locking mechanism has already broken once and I had to get it fixed to let me open the boot at all. Yesterday the mechanism started making ominous repetitive electrical clicking noises as soon as I switched on the ignition. Does anyone know what the underlying problem is and how to fix it for good?

if ur motor's a bravo/a there r no electrical componnents 2 the lock except 4 the boot light pin switch u might find it's the rear wiper trying 2 park bcos the wiper blade is stuck 2 a dry rear screan.
