yes it does, I used it because my electric toothbrush stopped working (the joys of having a 2 year old) it was dropped in water, I used this method and its working fine again.
everyone I know that has done it says it works. Just pass the info on - remember the memory card stays in though. The phone has be in it for at least 2 days and must be fully in the bag of rice - any cheap old rice will do!

I have a Nokia E71 and have paired the phone to take incoming calls and can make outgoing calls if i dial from the handset. The problem seems to be copying my contatcs, i have tried sending business cards via blue tooth with no luck. Can anyone help?

hey...can anyone help....i'm about to get a new phone, my last one could accept calls etc, but the car didnt recognise my phonebook to tranfer data, i want to make sure my new phone is compatible and will allow me to upload my phonebook onto blue so i can make calls a lot easier!!! help...thanks

Sony Ericsson is the manfacturer of choice if you want all features working (on almost 100% of all SE handsets); Apple seems to be the worst handset for integration and Nokia will connect to make/take calls but not a lot of the phones will work with the other features. Samsung seems to work well but most won't work with the text reader.
The issue is how the phone manufacturer has implemented Bluetooth and how many of the bluetooth protocols have been implemented...most phones have the basic handsfree/headset profile so they can connect and make/take calls...others have more protocols installed and will do more i.e. synch with the address book; text reader, etc.
If you don't synch automatically with your phone and B&M, then you can manually send your phone contacts to the system.

Hello, all you fellow Blue & Me sufferers,
Can anyone tell me how to make Blue & Me play an album in correct track order from an iPod? For many it doesn't matter much, but for quite a high proportion it matters in that tracks flow into each other, or songs follow on from previous songs to make a story etc. I am on my third system :bang: and it still will only play the tracks in alphabetical order of title - and yes, the Shuffle function is OFF. I am sure it is a software problem but the garage disagrees and keeps changing the unit. No doubt costing them and Alfa money.
Also, can anyone tell me how to make to make a phone call when the phone is locked? I keep mine that way in case of losing it. Apparently it is supposed to do this. My phone is a Nokia 6124 (a model apparently exclusive to Vodafone but no doubt identical to others).

No you cant keep blue and me if you change the headunit.
Thanks. But is there anything that the head unit needs to support. liek bluetooth or is the blue & me system totaly seperate from the HU.

Its totally seperate. Doesnt matter what headunit you get or what features it has it cant be used with an aftermarket unit. The Standard HU has parts in it which the blue and me needs to work i think.
Sorry. I totaly misread you first reply. I thought you said i could keep it if i replaced the HU. Dyslexia strikes again

I have a problem with using the Media Player with my Blue&Me system. I have a Silicon Power 4 GB USB PenDrive, and I was able to use it smoothly for a week. This morning entering in the Media Player menu I was asking for the folders, but I've got an error "No Media". This is very interesting, since the "Play All" function is still running, so Blu&Me plays MP3s from the pendrive in a random order. Unfortunately all other functins, Playlists, Genere, Artists etc. result a "No Media" error.
Does anyone faced such a problem?
