Blue & Me cannot understand voice commands

I have bought a Fiat Linea 3months back, and am still struggling to get the Blue and me call a contact in my Iphone . I have an Iphone 3G correctly working with B&M firmware 5.4. The contacts in my Iphone have been downloaded into the blue and me. The Problem is that the S/W does not recognize my commands or the name of the person I am asking it to call. It works only one out of ten times. The dealer -Tata Motors- in India have also tried, and we cannot get it to correctly recognize commands/ names when spoken in english in India. Can any one help ?

even i faced the same problem in the beginning but have got used to it now. Which city you from I am from Chandigarh.
Try speaking in a US accent. It will then understand your voice.

I am also facing the same problem. My O2 Xda II mini Pocket PC [2004] is potentially compatible, according to Fiat/Microsoft websites. However, mine got paired easily with Blue&Me. I copied the phonebook also. I make/receive calls using steering control only. But, my Fiat Linea does not obey my voice commands! Similarly, messages received are not displayed. But, I am comfortable with steering control, and hence, am happy.

I am from Mumbai. I downloaded the latest firmware Version 5.4 from the Fiat site, and also changed the spelling in the Iphone contacts to "phonetically correct". It now works almost correctly, but the lesson I learnt is that Fiat has no expert support in India for Blue and Me. Thank god we have a forum to help out !!

I have found if you speak quite fast its ok, its when you speak slowly & delibrately that it does not understand or dials wrong number.

I guess Blue and Me has not been checked / tested in India, I mean understanding English commands the way it is spoken in India. I guess most of us will find it difficult to speak English with an American/ British accent. Can a Fiat expert suggest some tips to get the Blue and Me understand Indian English better ?

you can change the language but I think theres only a limited choice.

I paired my new Nokia Supernova 7210 with Blue&Me in my Fiat Linea successfully after updating to version 5.4.09. Earlier, it did not show my mobile service provider's name. Now, it shows. Earlier, automatic copying of phonebook was done at the time of pairing only. Now, it copies whenever it synchronises with Blue&Me. Earlier, it did not obey my voice commands. Now, the frequency of compliance to my voice commands has increased substantially. However, I am comfortable with steering control. But, the message reader does not work as my mobile is not compatible for message reader, as per Fiat website.
