Yeah, I'm interested to find out if you can programme out the B&M module and fix the flashing without replacing the module. By the way I had an email from an outfit called ACTRONICS near Colchester offering B&M repair too - don't know the price but as I think you (@euroben ) are in Spain these days that's not much help? I do still have my old broken B&M module which I would offer you if it helps to get it fixed here and then maybe a visitor to you could transport? Just thinking laterally...
I did this on a 500 and the flashing stopped. Eltezz correctly said you dont programme anything out you do a Proxi alignment. Its just like restarting a lap top which will recognize all USB equipment attached It wont see anything that isnt there. If you replace something it just looks at whats attached. MES prompts to copy the exisitng file info.

Just been through this stuff on my Mother in Law's 2014 Panda. B&M module had failed when the car was bought. Usual symptoms, flashing odo and battery drain. Had it repaired. Was all fine for 3 months and then failed again. Sent it back, repaired again and failed again within a couple of weeks. I was warned on the second repair that this might point to a wider issue somewhere else on the car. I can confirm that un-plugging the module and doing a proxy alignment has cured the battery drain and odo flashing respectively. Think she is probably going to opt for a Witson unit given the car is otherwise fine.

As a matter of interest, did you store existing settings before doing the alignment? I can see in my MES how to do the proxy alignment but, being not tech savvy, don't know how to do the recommended pre alignment recording.

Call me a maverick but no it didn't occur to me to do so and I didn't see an option to do that. Worked fine but I guess it would be useful to know how to do that for future reference.

There is something here in the forum about it. I read it quite some time ago. Sorry i can't tell you where to find it though. The impression I get is that most just do it and hope for the best. I believe if the modules etc are not then subsequently recognised/reloaded then you're in deepest doo doo.
