Technical Blue and Me woes

I'm going to have a dig at the Blue and Me section of the forum but thought I'd ask you lot anyway.

2014 TA 4x4. Ever since I've had it Blue and Me has worked well both bluetooth for phone calls etc and with my phone (an Iphone 13) plugged into the B&M USB socket for streaming. Every now and again you'd need to turn the radio off and on if it didn't connect but sporadically enough that it wasn't a bother.

Then a coup;le of days ago the USB socket side of things just gave up. Select it on the radio and you just get "No source available". However, it does charge the phone so the socket isn't totally dead. Bluetooth connection for the phone still fine. I've tried different cables, no difference and also tried an Aux cable as a test and that did nothing at all.

I've deleted the phone and repaired and also disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes. All to no avail. So, aside from the nuclear option of a new radio (one of those Witson ones or the genuine Fiat item from the Italian facebook group) any ideas?

Does the mileage on the dash flash? That was the first thing I noticed when my blue and me packed up. I found the USB then played up, it would charge the phone, but if using the phone for Google maps it kept causing the map to drop out. I assume it was cutting in and out, thus confusing the phone. Ended up nearly killing the battery, so I took the blue and me unit out.

I got it refurbished by Revtronic for £95, plugged it back in and it's worked fine ever since. Didn't need realignment either, so quite happy.

No flashing which is probably good and the USB port still works to charge a phone so it's not totally disconnected from power. I've gone for one of the Witson units but I think I'll also investigate the revtronic option too as it'd be nice to get it working.

Arrrgggh, my Witson should arrive this week so of course the B&M stuff has started working perfectly again this morning. Oh well, I'll put the Witson in now I've bought it as it offers so much more functionality.

Please please help.

I live in Birmingham and i have recently brought a punto grande 09 plate from a 2nd hand car dealer. This was due to a new job involving travel and my car breaking down. I could only afford a cheap runner so i brought it.

After 15 miles the clutch went i took it in garage seperate to where i brought it ( trust issues and threatening behaviour) i had the clutch replaced but the car still drove like a tank.

Battery light was on cinstantly and car was jerky, i thought this may be new clutch but having looked on here numerous times it appears the opinion is blue and bloody me. I noticed a wire behind stereo and chased it back to the cigarette lifhter removed that wire and the battery light went dimmer car behaving better not as jerky.

I have removed the blue and me and now the mileage us flashing i want to remove it completely.but need a proxy alignment it says on here. I dont have the software and dont intend to diy ( trust issues )

Is there anyone in Birmingham that will do this for me?

Or do i have it repaired - not interested in any features if it?
