Hi All and hope you had a great christmas

I was in the process of trying to code some LED daytime running lights in my 22 plate Ducato with Mutiecuscan and bang when I did a Proxy alignment my dash lit up light a christmas tree (time of the year maybe)

Anyway I am a bit stuck as I dont know the settings to revert back to but what I have is an old log file so if someone is able to point me in the right direction that would be great as it stands I have Transmission, steering ABS etc all over the dash

cheers

It is a long time since I did a proxy alignment but I seem to recall that MES saves the exisitng proxi data to a file in the program's install directory, or the data is logged in the LOG file.

Also as a general procedure one should save the exisitng data away AND also make a note of the byte number you are changing and it's original value.

Generally speaking changing proxy data is a potentially risky business so one has to have a good reason and make as many copies, backups, pictures etc. as you can.

Information on proxy data values and what they do is closely guarded by FCA. Also I've seen people having to extend data to a different number of bytes from original. Also body computers have their own firmware levels which can be changed over time by official updates and I assume that this will also affect proxy data compatibility so what works for some people my not work for you.

All this said some people have achieved what they wanted to achieve.

Thanks for the info yes I know I should have made a backup but it wasn't something I did

I have been trying to get LED daylights working and cocked it up

I am nearly there got a couple of issues but will sort it and some good news my LED daylights work

I just need to sort out the flashing Odometer and power steering fault then I am done. But it's been interesting

Hello Sfraun145,

have a look to the Mes (MultiecuScan) programm directory on your computer and search fot .txt files like: FESLog_yymmddhhmm_Fiat Ducato*.txt
Where: yymmdd Year month day and hhmm hour minute
if you ever read the CAN configuration Mes create a .txt File:

MesLogFile.JPG

So if you found the Mes Log File, you are able to built / create a Proxie Backup file like AlfaObd is using:
AlfaObdProxyBackup.JPG

With the help of the Notepad Editor, you are able to copy and paste the proxy data into the AlfaObd Proxy Backup file and do the restore Proxy backup procedere with AlfaObd.
the pictures with data is only for example, the proxy Data in the examples is differend
regards Klaus

Hello Sfrain145,

the Reading CAN configuration data ..., are the valid values before the timestamp: 28/12/2023 11:52:21
if this is the oldest File with your CAN configuration data, the data described your original configuration.

and there are som changes after the -------------------------------------------------------------- line, some where not successfull..:(

There is a solution:

Do a proxy backup of your wrong Configuration and store it. Then you Copy and paste the configdata from this file into your new backup file.
It may be necessary to delete the spaces between the Bytes, you can do it with the search and replace function of notepad editor.
And write the new backup File back into the vehicle ...

good luck
Klaus

No it's a miss configuration on the proxy. That's the old Fiat 500 etc that has blue &me stuff as I own a 595 and fitted a new set of clocks
Hi, I’ve just killed my can by messing up a proxi alignment. I have a 2018 595 , do you have any info on what you can settings are? Thanks.
