Just an update on this situation. My ELM module and cables arrived so I paid for the licence for
multiecuscan. I first scanned for any codes as the free version wouldn’t let me do that for some reason. I had one code related to the telematic module (B&M) which was expected and one code for ‘intermittent low voltage on number plate lights’. That possibly explains the intermittent yellow triangle that I sometimes get for no apparent reason. I might replace the bulbs and clean the contacts even though they are working.
Then it came to the proxi alignment to stop the flashing odometer. I first unclipped all the seatbelts and made sure there was nothing on any seats, because I had read that a clipped seatbelt or weight on a seat can cause a proxi alignment to fail and I wasn’t going to chance it. It took a few minutes to do and has worked. It now just doesn’t expect there to be a blue and me unit and so no flashing odometer. Also to add, it definitely doesn’t give you an option to save existing data before doing the proxi alignment as some have suggested doing. Maybe on other models it does but not on the TA panda 0.9.
