As this is America, I'm guessing it is the 1.4 petrol engine.

Oil and water mixed on the floor could just be two leaks landing together.

Milky caramel in coolant tank suggests head gasket. Otherwise would be cracked head or block, so let's not go there just yet.

Oil in engine ok could mean either, leak across gasket is from pressurised oil passage into coolant channels, or could be across other parts of gasket, but coolant in oil is being evaporated off when engine hot. Probably the former.

Water pump would just leak out, giving coolant puddle only.

Not sure if you've got an oil cooler, but if this is one of those coolant/oil heat exchangers usually at the oil filter, they can leak and give these symptoms. Flushing the coolant system, then removing the coolant hoses from the cooler, and joining them together for a test run might show if problem still there or gone away. Open coolant inlet and outlet at cooler might also show some oil leakage during this test run.

Head gasket usually good, unless it has overheated recently for another reason. Any history we need to consider? Total miles?

Edit: Apologies, not enough attention to the flag. Australia, not America.

Oz'stralia according to signature..

TA's are there .. not sure about MA's

Dont remember reading any 1248mj threads either..

Fluid on ground is unlikely to be engine oil..

But pressurise anything.. and it can leak out.. gravity does the rest ;)

In 8 or so hours we will know more :)
