black salt, wtf they use that for?

i just took the stilo part off :D

ive now got a really weird thought in my head , i might try and re-stick them on, but on the front of the car on the bumper somewhere :p

just another of my weird ideas

i have some of that double sided tape stuff :D

my reg plate is still holding on strong at the front with it, although it is to thick to stick the letters on i think:p

yeah, it really did lash it down here

i dont mind heavy rain to be honest, at least then i can adjust the windscreen wipers to suit the rain.

its when its lightly spitting that it gets annoying, as the wipers wipe a near enough dry screen every 7/8 secs :D

not as bad as bloody punto... juddering all time when it not really wet :( but screen needs clearing (n)

Round the midlands the gritters were on the road every night, I don't think the government seem to realise that when it doesn't rain the salt stays, so if they gritted every other day rather than everyday then money would be saved, then we get a rebate for all that salt the government didn't have to buy, my car stays clean, everyones a winner.

But this will all be when I come to power

Get some decent flat wiper blades, my Mk2's wiper blades used to judder like mad if the windscreen wasn't completely soaked, I replaced them with some decent flat ones and they don't judder at all now, even on a dry screen. (y)

A friend who serviced gritters for a few years told me that every year the council in question gets a quota for the grit. If they don't use it all they don't get as much the next year, therefore councils don't want to run the risk of running out in the next winter so they make sure they fill the quota by shoving it all down when it isn't needed. Seems like a good enough explanation why to me, but what a waste of our money.

This is what I mean about the brakes.... I went out yesterday and they were fine. Parked up about 3pm yesterday afternoon to find them like this today :(.

Completely rusted to hell. The brakes didn't work until after 15mins of driving and they still are not as good as what they were so I've ordered some new disks and pads, going to pick them up at 4:30 from the motor factors :D.

thats bad... I fitted some brand new mudflaps to the Panda in the summer... in the last week the brackets have lost all their paint and are rusted to hell now:( and the chrome badges on the back are all furry too. I reckon its a ploy to get all the old cars off the road by rusting them.
