I rubbed hers with petrol not Castrol GTx...much cheaper but I'll wiil give a trial on a Castrol. I will inform U on the outcome during cold weather.

After all I'm going to sell her in 6 months time.

Well, you must be better at flogging cars than me, I always seem to bloody loose out, just out of curiosity, do you buy and sell privately or dealers?

I flog the cars private - you get alot more than trade
also never sell close to when you need to - I sell it
and don't look for next car until sold - that way
you don't except disappointing offers just to get rid.

If you going to service your wife - remember , first
examine her paintwork all over , then check the
headlights and finally examine her spark plugs.
After that - just give her a damn good rogering !

On another note: What would you say the best engine oil to put in the bravo is?
i thought of putting the castrol GTX magnitec in it but it says it is for older engines. What is the stuff that fiat recommend like (the stuff in the manual)!

two types

they do two types one for new engines and one for old engines, really rate the stuff got a 6 month old punto sporting and used to sound like a bag of nails at startup, not anymore!

Warming Up

Come in a bit late I know, but re your point on the BM, BMW will void the warranty if the computer shows its been thrashed like anonymous thrashes his car. Thrashing a car from cold can break it in much less than an year. And why do it, it only takes 5 minutes to warm up enough.
If you lived next door to me and were to sqeel off your driveway in the morning every morning, I'd slash your tyres! And i'm sure I'm not the only one.
Seriously, why not wait just a few minutes to keep your car in better nick, no banging and creaking and whining noises coming from it. No likes to drive around in a banger, so why turn your car into one?

BMW invalidate your warranty if you ignore the warning
lights ?. Talk about the nanny state.
