ah, the "i've got good news and bad news"-guy .. :D

beware of seemingly project unrelated/uninvolved department managers wanting to buy you drinks in the pub.... :)

@ B_97: i didn't expect that you lived in a crime-riddled place? What happened? Saw anyone?
In any case this is why one should live in a rural environment... if you live in the countryside you can keep a shotgun... loaded with rocksalt

Neither did I, we just moved ~2months ago here, seems/feels very nice & friendly neighborhood.. :tempt:

And no, I didn't saw anyone.. Fast bastard

Everyone, I'm not alone in Finland.... yeeeeehawwwwwwwww.... :worship:

b_97, how about you and I meet up later this week?? I'm taking Zippy on a wee road trip to South West Finland until Wednesday. Maybe after that?

Parts arrived today (thanks to barchettaparts.com !(y)), tomorrow b will be back on the roads!:slayer:

Excellent stuff B97. Been looking forward to getting you back on the roads of .fi. Best be seeing ya soon :slayer:

The parts I've ordered from barchettaparts.com are on the way. Should be here this week. :yum:

Yep.. :)

Couple days ago I clocked 115 000km to b, and seems like problems started now.

Might be that heavy rain that striked couple days ago, b feels a lot under powered, when idling it sounded something like 5l v8..:(

Wasn't sure that it runs all four pots so yesterday changed sparkplugs and cleaned all the contectors.

Much better now, but not like it use to be, today it will be throttlebody/butterfly/intake cleaning day..

I think it could be stucked variator too , when revving there is this spot on ~1750rpm where you could feel that something is wrong, over it it feels allmost normal.

Odd thing is that it all started after that rain, damn you weather! (n)

My variator needs replacing, sounds like a truck and has lost performance on the bottom end - almost like driving a car with too much choke out............

FYI, a couple of you guys have asked me to contact DTR and see if they will sell Variators as spare parts. Just to let you know I have not been ignoring you however DTR seem to have been ignoring me!! I have dropped them a number of eMails now and left a couple of voicemails but they have not returned any of them yet.

As soon as I do manage to speak with them I will let you know costs and availability etc...........

Thanks man.. :chin:
I saw these repair kits for b's variator on some web shop, cant remember how much it costs but something like 10-30e it was, not sure will it do the trick.

Now I think I have find my problem, traced it back to one of the spark coil's, seems like it hits sparks near its fastening bolts , and so won't give good spark to plugs, pretty random spark I would guess..

Have to but some €€€'s to the line, again. :bang:
