ball joints have gone

Both ball joints have gone and with my mot coming up in about 3 weeks what should i do?
I was told that the ball joints cannot be replaced on their own as its part of the wishbone so do i buy new wishbones or find good replacments from the scrappies?

you can replace them yourself but if your not mechanicaly minded or dont have the tools.. get a mechanic to do it. should take less than an hour to do...

Anything that wears out, like brake pads, and suspension components, should really be replaced with new parts. Othewise, you get 3 months down the line, and those parts fail too.

cost about £15 a side as i recall. but they sent the wrong one first time which i only discovered while the car was up on stands and the suspension in bits. evetually got the right ones though.

dan mate i have a 1.2 buts its not listed, is the 1.4 the same as the 1.2 any ideas buddy?

Nathan, the 12, 1.4 and 1.6 use the same front end suspension compenents

as for the ones on ebay, chaeapies will be cheapies, i got a pair from buypartsbuy for the alfa at 12 each plus vat and they were delivered quickly
