Attacked again....

Well last night my punto was broken into for the second time...and the stereo nicked for the second time!
Not at all happy that people think they can help themselves to your **** whenever they want :evil:
Since I got the car from new I have had...
scratch from fron to back from car park after 2 weeks
window broken and stereo taken before christmas
black marker accross the boot (came off though)
valve caps nicked last week
window broken and stereo nicked last night
... and I live in Ballumbie which is not a bad area in Dundee, so much so that the scenes of crimes officers didn't even know where I lived!
Anyhoo thats my rant and here's the devastation!
And if anyone hears of a Sony Xplode for sale on the cheap let me know so I can beat the **** out of them.Ta.

How come you left the stereo in if its happened to you before? the first thing i do when i park up anywhere is take the face with me, so if any scumbags come past they dont even think of breaking in, just because its a good area does not mean its safe im afraid

got an alarm fitted since the last incident but didn't do much good, by the time I woke up and heard it then went down they were gone. And I'm rubbish at remembering to take the face off!
The police gave me a hard time about it but my argument is I dont take my laptop with me when I leave the house and yet it has the same security(alarm/locks) and has windows ready to break...so whats the difference...both my property but because its the car I get the hard time from them!! What about the bastards they wont bother to look for who did the damage in the first place!
Had I caught them and beat the merry **** out of them it would be me chased up!

Houses tend to be more secure than cars, you would probably be hard pushed to completely shatter a double galzed window on the average house, and the scumbags have to faff about looking for things they can nick which all takes up time and means more chance they can get nicked. With a car its just smash the window lean in a legg it!

Would you leave your laptop in plain view behind a very thin window?
A car is far more of a target due to being a hell of a lot less secure than a house as mrski said.

Ive been lucky so far. 0 break ins, one boot through the Brava window once (the same night I totalled the front wing + wheel lol) glass everywhere is a pain in the ass!

Best of luck catching the dirty ****s that did it!

a wee tip- u mentioned that someone drew acoss the car with a black marker pen, i believe to get this off, you use a dry whiteboard marker and colour in on top of the marker and wipe it off.

thanks guys....nice to get a bit of sympathy! am getting the window fixed tomorrow morning (great 24hr service lol) and will replace the stereo in the next week or so....am glad I didn't install my carpc last night! have just finished installing all the software so will fit it in a day or two! they aint gonna stop me doing what I want to my car...fitting a camera to my house though!

I got the stereo nicked out of my old MG Maestro.
The idiots didin't even do it right and left half the stereo fascia in the car.
They also nicked my golf shoes, some pliers and a tyre pressure guage from the door pocket, a load of tapes and a car magazine.

Plod weren't helpful then either.

Just wish I'd caught whoever did it.

cheers sporting....an doh....got all the carpc set up...took it out to the car....and yes I have nowhere to plug my phono leads into for sound!!!! damn thiefs have held me up big time! Gonna have to order my new one quick smart.
Any suggestions on head units? must have aux in L&R and mp3 with id3 tag reading....and if it would work with my Sony commander stick that would be ace but dont think thats gonna happen!
So how would I be best at removing/consealing superglue from the steering column?!?!
Anyway enough rambling, thanks again for your comments guys.

its one of those things that are almost impossible to deal with, u find out who they are, what can you do?

smash there heads in with a bad comes to mind but for them to come round at the weekend and do it worse.

had the same problem someone decided to take a knife to my car

aswell as leave a few trademark dents

Its crap that! bet ur well gutted! I know i was when the window got done on my punto and they didn't ebven take anythin guess i was really lucky !! They were so stupid they even left the glas irn bru bottle they smashed it with sitting on the parcel shelf of the car!!

why are people so jealous of nice things we take pride in so they just lash out...a severe beating is all thats deserved.
