General ARG cant get 5th or reverce

I was just going on to the M1 when I noticed that the gear stick was more over to the right than notmal and once on I could not get 5th. Laster when I got back of the M1 I found I couldnt get reverce either. Fortunaly I had not parked some where I needed it.

I think on of the selecter joints has gone. Is this what happens when you get transmition windup?

Looks like a split pin or simular has gone in the linkage. Ive bodge it to gether with a thick pice of wire for the moment untill I can get the proper bits

I was half expecting to end up on the M1 with no gears!

Did get home OK though as I had only lost 5th and reverce. Although I was only goin 50 because 4th is so short. Very odd expirience being over taken by EVERYTHING on the way!

Ive passed a few cars in the panda though I tend not to go much over 60. Being over taken by a landrover towing a boat was diffrent.

In my Nissan I could pass most things but Id rather keep my lience.

Oh Top stuff

I seem to have lost 2 x 3's and a 4, 5, and 6 from the lower picture from the lowest show joint. Presumably when part 4 failed. Ive managed to fastion a part 4 from wire but with out parts 5 and 6 im left with a floppy nob! although it dose work
