was chatting to my supervisor at work and he said i probably wouldnt get the gasket off without it breaking up becayse of the gasket gum, now is it just me or are you not actually ment to use that aswell as a gasket?

i'm confused now because maybe i can save myself another £40 and a delayed weekend!

i did, this was here before i asked, can i just ask, would it be okay if i just undid the head bolts and then did them up again? reason being i'm worried i have under torqued them, or is it a really bad idea to risk over torquing them by 90 degrees?

if the gasket has been on for more than a few hours worth of driving do not loosen the bolts. as suggested just set your torque wrench to the correct setting and give each bolt a try.
