Have this gearbox in its 6 speed guise on my Qubo, love it, no problems at all......why have a manual in traffic when you can be clutch pedal free.....
I am not at all happy with Fiat Dualogic transmission. My Fiat 500C is in the garage having a new clutch and flywheel fitted with only 2700 miles on the clock. My faith in the car has been destroyed and I am returning it to motability despite only owning it since March!!! I ordered a Peugeot 308 auto to replace it which should be here around the middle of August.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Good luck, the Pug probably has the same gearbox, I know one or two of their models do.
Not sure why you're giving up so soon though, any new car can have issues, and this is what a warranty is for tbh. Good luck with the new car though![]()
Thanks and the Pug has the new fully auto Aisin 6 speed![]()

In answer to the OP ( "are you happy with your duologic transmission?" ) I have to say yes, on the whole it works pretty well. Is it as good as some of the more sophisticated non-manual transmissions on the market? No, probably not. The automatic gearbox in my Honda ( Accord 2.4 Tourer ) is far smoother and much more intelligent - but it cost a good deal more. The Duologic in our Panda is very similar in operation to the semi-automatic transmission in the Smart Roadster that we had previously. It's not 100% perfect, but it works in a perfectly acceptable manner...
Hello guys I'm following this forum for a long time it's been very helpful, i have punto mk2b 1.3mjet with dualogic gearbox, what is the best way to start engine, with changing to N and start or to start when is at first gear? And one more thing in cold days I'm starting buy waiting to valve finishes thay job than switch to N and start but i notice that the engine struggling to start it need 7-8 sec, is it problem maybe in battery, don't have power for start? Thanks!
I just bout Fiat 500. For me, the dualogic transmission is the best part of the car. Well it depends if one wants only to go forward and reverse, then this transmission would not be ideal. This transmission is particularly good for drivers who like to be involved with driving, I should say exiting drive. You could even have combination of both Automatic and manual by changing gears while in automode, by using either the gear lever or the steering paddle shifts ! This is something I thought would be exclusive to racing cars only, I was pleasantly surprised to see it on 500L. In short if you enjoy driving then Dualogic is +++Seems to be a lot of negativity around Dualogic. Please tell me what you think. Happy: yes/no?
