I'm after some 215/45 17s for the back of my Stilo Abarth I'm tempted by some of the far eastern/more obscure brands like Federal, Kumho, Nankand, Falken. The car currently has a set of Pirelli P7000 on the front and Federals on the back. The car is balanced and grips well in wet and dry. I've not had it long, but the backs are pretty much worn out.
Are these brands so bad?
Federal SS-595 XL 87V £68.65
Nankang NS1 XL 93Z £76.65
Nexen N6000 XL 91W £77.65
Falken ZE-912 NEW XL 91W £80.65
Dunlop SP7000D [SPECIAL OFFER] 87W £87.65
all from ctyres.co.uk
I'm looking for a pair, so I'd be £40 worse off buying Dunlops instead of the no-name Federal brand.
Anyone got these tyres, or something similar who wants to share an opionion?
I don't do track days, I don't drive like a loon, I want comfy, stable and good at braking with a reasonable wear rate.
Any thought?
Cheers
Andy
