Technical Anyone played with sound system yet?

Hi everyone i pulled my stereo out today.I ran the lines for power, earth and remote for my amp.using the lead shown in the pic below. The amp comes on but no sound. when you pull your stereo out theirs a lead already in the slot where the arrow is pointing. when i pulled this out the b&m stops working and the usb slot stops as well. i dont no where else the amp wire could go?.

Can anyone get hold of the wiring diagram for the headunit??

Or pics of identical spec cars one with optional sub one without and will get my dad to look at it as hes an auto electricion.

Then if we know how fiat do it we can work it out from there

What do you mean, the usb socket is in front of the gearstick?

Hi, I am also looking for aux/iphone cable for my punto evo. I don't have the blue&me system in my car. Any ideas?

I have fitted an Dension Adapter in my APE.
Gives me iPhone and USB (DOK) control (with steering wheel and everything) + BT that connects to the car's stereo.

It's a Dension GBL2AF8. Installation is easy, just plug it in and that's it.

Here is an ebay link for the adapter:

On top of that you need to ad some sort of cable for the iDevice. They have several options, I picked this one:

Dension IPO5DC9.

They also make some with built-in cradles.

Thanks for the help, I just ordered that one too. I should get it this week. How about the cable(s), are they going thru your glovebox or?

I was also thinking about those cradles, it would be nice to use my Iphone as a navigator.

I'll upload a picture soon.
Basically, it's coming out near the base of the left A pillar, where I have a generic suction mount for the phone. My car is LHD.

I got bored of the aftermarket stereo in my car so I put the oem one back in and so I bought this.

cost me 15 pounds off eBay.
I moved the blue remote in cable for the amp

and connected it to this

now my amp come one with my stereo and off with the stereo.
they sell one for 4 channels. for 25 pounds. its very easy to fit.

Am I right in thinking this connector creates a dedicated sub level output to connect an amp up to? I've currently got a sub spliced into the rear speakers but id prefer to change it to this if there's any benefits of it

yes it gives sub level out (line out) but none of the filtering that most expensive head units have relying on the subs in built frequency filters and bass is still sent to the components

similar to this

I can't pull my radio out, i have tugged at it with some force but no good, any suggestions?

Ive got the standard headunit in my Punto Evo, with Blue&Me fitted, i want to keep this and also fit my sub and amp, exactly what will i need to do this? Thanks.

Simple use Scotch locks it only needs to send signal use rear inputs this will allow you to cut out the bass when needed as can be set to all the front. Alpine do a cracking 8" active sub which can be powered off the rear 12v socket as it draws such little power the cable supplied is very very thin.
