Hi Guys,

I’ve had my Punto evo for about a month now, and looking to upgrade my sound and infotainment system,

As a musician and spending many hours in the car having a great sounding audio system is a must. Has anyone upgraded the entire system before? What did you go for? Looking for a touch screen DAB/bluetooth, I’m not bothered by Apple car play. I like having the phone separate from the cars infotainment system.

Also, has anyone changed the dashboard lightning? Looking to change out the orange to white,

Thank you guys, much appreciated

The first thing I would suggest on the Punto Evo is to improve the sound deadening, fiats are notoriously bad for their tinny doors and lack of any real sound proofing or insulation.

What you choose to upgrade to will very much depend on your budget. There is a sound system for pretty much every budget. Just be aware that the Punto Evo won’t take a full din sized head unit.

But you can get some aftermarket units that have large touchscreens that are specific to the Punto Evo, just make sure what ever you choose to buy, if going down that route fits the correct left or right handed model you have

You will need good isolation, after that a multimedia and a good amp, all of this will cost more than the car if done right, if you do it less than the cost of the car it will be absolutely useless.

Isolation is very easy to do, the android multimedia + amplifier setup will be a pain, as you need proper installation, if you skimp on this it will burn down your car as fiats have terrible cabling, they turn into hard plastic if you live in hot countries.

What are the best sound proofing techniques for a Punto ?
I used alu butil, almost the thickest one, I removed the c*ap from the door cards and set these things in place, otherwise it does come a bit isolated from sound from the factory if you have the Fiat Evo but it's really nothing. When I close my doors, I can barely hear the sound coming from the car. OFC this is not going to be enough to deal with road noise, that is going to cost you more than 2 fiat evos.

This is how a good sound isolation would look like, needs a ton of work
