very looking forward to sunday for the f1:D all pumped up for it

me and my mate are catching a national express coach from dudley to banbury coach station.

then catching a taxi there to silverstone.

anybody doing the same route?if there is we could catch same taxi, split costs if were there at same timeish.

Plus the fact they'll be charging over the odds to cash in on it being a grand prix weekend.

Didn't think of checking the silverstone website for travel advice? Stagecoach are running a bus service from Northampton Station plus megabus & thomas cook are offering coach services.

I live 5 miles from the circuit, and if you can get to brackley im sure ther will be Coach trips arranged to for GP traffic. There is around northampton and towcester (other side of the circuit to where you are coming from)

Brackley is like 5 miles from banbury.

Think they are called park and ride.

Just so you know, i taxi from MK to towcester which is a 20minute journey is over 20quid and thats normal time. Not GP traffic time.

It takes about 30 mins to get to Silverstone from banbury, in normal traffic.

hey peeps

well the bus and ride i checked are only for people who whant to leave their car safe somewhere. according to the woman on the phone its just for people going by car. plus you need a pass for that and plus its only a few miles only from silverstone they pick people up.

i spoke to lots of coach and traveling agencies like thomas cook and they told me from banbury there is NO other coaches or busses that go straight to silverstone. they all said best way will be taxi even though itl b pricey. according to the sat nav the quickest way will be 32 mins from banbury to the track. obv abit longer in taxi and the traffic. i did research but the coach firm told me thats the best way espesh at that time of early hours. me and my mate splitting the costs will help and hopefuly we will find other people going there whop can join us in the taxi to keep costs lower.

well good news : getting to silverstone wasnt pricey at all by taxi. from banbury it cost £17.50 each to get there. and £12.50 each to get back:)

silverstone was abso brilliant
the gp2 and porche race was wrecked because it was raining so much and coundlt see nothing behind peoples umbrellas and couldnt get the camera out. it rained from 5:30 am til about half 12 none stop. howver luckily when the f1 started the raine dyed down and there was a slight bit of sun.so weather was bad but no where as bad as it was in the morning so it was amazing.the noise:O :O so loud undescribable.anybody go?

i had 1 problem. the tikets we ordered was copse C, they sent copse E, we phoned them up and twice they said they only changed the name and we would be sitting on copse C. and nothing to worry about. However....when we got there...surprise surprise........we had to sit on copse E. it wasnt as bad as we thought it would be but stilll...we was not happy we had to sit elsewhere. so....we are planning 2 make a complaint. try and get free tickets would be brilliant. any ideas if we could get anything from it?
