Especially front line shop staff. Could you shed some light on this whole bonus thing.
I have been keeping an eye on their business model for many a year now. I don't see why a company with lower morals than a smack head is suddenly doing this. Ok I know that they pay way way under the odds so they could have put together a massive pot over the years of saved wages.

I would just like to find the reason for them doing this and expose the scam.

I agree. For Ashley to be doing this seems odd, especially during these current trading conditions. Maybe we have all mis read the guy and underneath that beer belly beats a gentle heart of pure gold. Time will tell...

There will be conditions tied to them, non-transferable, not saleable etc shares. If the long term (2 year lol) staff now have a finanical interest in keeping the customers / profits happy. It also creates publicity for them.

Bit of a strange post :p. Graphics Designer come journalist now are ya? :nerner: :p

I just have a serious dislike of their business model. They are ruthless and seriously damaging to the economy and trading standards.
Oh and i have dabbled with a kittle Journalism. Nothing special but it does go with the job sometimes.

I dont think that i have said anything about the legality. Only about trading standards. Obviously putting massive pressure on clothing manufacturers to sell items at such a low price can and probably has forced them to source items from the sweatshops, where working conditions/hours are sub standard.

I wouldnt say Sports world are doing anything directly illegal. Unless forcing price of products down so profits are in negative figures in order to buy part of the businesses for next to nothing is illegal. They will directly run a business that sits on the borderline of legality. I.e pay min wage etc etc.

I see what you mean. But lets face it all the big 'main stream' brands are under a lot of pressure to keep prices down. Especially the supermarket clothing brands. I bet they do some 'shadey' things too.

Maybe if we didn't price ourselves out of nearly every industry (making costs rise, minimum wage increases etc) fueling a catch 22 situation we are in now. Maybe a lot more of this stuff could be made in developed countries and still make a profit.

True about supermarkets but they are crating a brand from nothing. SW is forcing struggling name brands to sell too cheaply so they think they are buying time to get out of a rut. SW lend them money by way of paying in advance for products that they know is going to make the brand a loss. SW then charge an interest on the loan and then take part or all of the brand name in payment when they default. It's legal loan sharking. Mainly taking Capitol from British companies and throwing into one greedy fat Market stall owners pot.

Youk notice their uniforms have the umbro Diamond but not the word. That's because they own the Diamond not the word. They are exactly what I hate about modern trading. This bonus thing has an underhand purpose. I just don't quite know what yet. Im sure it can't be just making them look good infront of the public.
Infact I wouldn't be surprised if they have to loose some profits to keep the investigators of monopolisation at bay.
