This noise from suspension is annoying for several reasons.
1. The mechenics cannot hear it (it is not that noisy) so they cannot fix it unless they are willing to listen carefully

2. the noise seems to happen only at certain bends, usually, left turn, at the apex, or sometimes just when the body roll goes back after exiting a turn or sometimes over speed bumps - but it never happens always, I mean it is unpredictable, only some speed bumps, some turns, that's why it is nearly impossible to show to a mechanic

3. the noise was the most annoying when driving on the most beautiful, gorgeous twisty mountain roads that I enjoyed but hated to listen to the suspension noise along Spanish coast - there it happened whenever you hit the throttle and the suspension moved with the acceleration
and of course in some turns, together with the body roll going level / as the roads were fantastic smooth quality, you could hear what you hardly hear on very bumpy B roads - like those in Britain

4. it is the same noise like I heard in all two previous cars that were older than 5 years - the same noise I heard from Escort and Ford K, but Panda is only three years old

5. it is the same noise that you hear when you use the hand brake when the car is parked, then push the back of the car - you hear a kind of metal squeak, but it is caused by the rear brake fixing the rear wheels, but it is the same kind of noise

I think it is something easy to fix and cheap to fix, I only have no idea what it is. I might try to find a Fiat garage and nearby a certain bump over which the car would ALWAYS make the same noise to show and prove it to a mechanic but your tips or experience might help, too.

I have already got over all those plastic noises, but I don't want to listen to this crap for the rest of my Panda's lifespan, another 15 years? Please, no.

I forgot, there's another mysterious noise and it is not the cabin, but some other time.

It's always a noisy noise which annoys the most. Same as my Dynamic, same leg, nearside front, same circumstances. It sounds like an dry spring in need of oiling when it does happen....if....I can go over a nearby set of speed bumps and it wheezes and groans on every one. I can go over the same bumps the next and every day for the rest of the week and..nada, nothing, not a sound {shrug}

Could it be the front drop link(s)??

Very cheap to fix, and can be done in 30 mins.

I would get underneath, and spray all the joints etc with with a can of Silicone spray...............

yes, it sounds like something too dry, definitely nothing serious, but i am one of those people who are crazy about sounds that shouldn't occur when driving cars

What about WD40? Can I spray all parts of suspension I can access under the car? And if it doesnt help, I will try to find the bump where it would always happen near a garage and ask a mechanic for help

WD40 is not a lubricant, it's a water dispersant ;)

You could try with bicycle or motorcycle chain lube since they tend to stick around once sprayed on, just make sure you don't get any on the brakes!

The description of your 'annoying squeak' sounds remarkably similiar to one that my Panda suffered from - after a lot of investigation, the cause was found to be a top strut mount which was changed under warranty - I suggest you try spraying WD-40 or similiar all over and around each top strut mount in turn (both from above and from under the wheel arch) and see if it makes a difference - it won't be a permanent cure but could at least point you in the right direction.

For the record, my squeak was 'metallic' and heard only when driving over speedhumps, bad surfaces etc and I got the impression that it occurred when the suspension was momentarily 'extended' rather than compressed. For some reason, it was impossible to make it squeak by rocking the car etc when at a standstill - it would only occur while in motion - not easy to investigate!

Funny you should mention that - top strut mount - it's what I wondered about too. Last time I heard a similar noise was on an overtuned Cortina with uprated springs etc. Popped the bonnet one day and it flipped up violently, followed rapidly by the strut itself, winking in the sunlight as it appeared through the wing.....happy days. I'll pick up some silicon spray tomorrow, suggest "ruinin" might want to give it a try too. Spraying the strut that is.
