I am having some DPF nightmares with my work van
Fiorino 2018 1.3 MultiJet 80hp no adblue with 100k miles (158k km)
Problems started after last oil change. Same workshop, same oil as I do oil changes every 15k km. The van drives a lot of highway miles.
Started by showing the engine light and limp mode on a very rainy day. After some miles the light went off and every thing went normal.
3 weeks passed and the light came on again with same symptoms. Plugged a generic code reader and gave me P2002.
At home I plugged in MES and it confirmed P2002-22, the DPF was 400% clogged. Something happened that did not allow the normal regens.
Next day I knew what i needed to do: forced Regen with MES, all went ok, codes cleared and DPF went to 70%. Went to work and left the generic obd plugged in to monitor with my phone the DPF values. Went to work and after 80km on the highway it started to regen with the radiator fan on and this took about 30-45 minutes. The DPF went to 14% with the pressure at idle at 14mbar.
At the end of the day, and after 100km the engine light came on again with p2002, limp mode and the DPF was at 60% and with 55mbar at idle. Deleted the code when the DPF was at 80% and it started the same regen process until the engine light came on again. After the DPF values came down all went back to normal.
And this cycle keeps happening.
Dpf pressure sensor is 12-14 mbar when dpf values are down, it rises as the DPF value also rises.
I think for some reason the normal regens are not taking place. The mechanic already applied dpf cleaner with no changes.
Anything I need to check before I remove the DPF for deep cleaning?
One thing I noticed is a slight hiss coming from under the van, near the engine but I don't notice any damage to the exhaust or flex. Can an exhaust leak mess with the DPF?
Thanks in advance.
