Can anyone confirm either way if a 2005 stilo would have an ECU / CAN controled alternator for economy reasons???

Thanks

James

Anybody?

Im not sure on the exact specifics but we are trying to work out why the front battery with a split charge coming off of it is only sending as low as 12.9v to the electric's in the car. If the rear battery is draining the front without the Alternator being able to tell there is extra load needed, then we should be able to trick it into working harder.

Denso Alternators have internal voltage regulators and I'm sure they're not controlled by the ECU(I think Stilo's use Denso?)

Apart from the main outputs there's

Another output labeled LG goes to the ignition, this turns the alternator on and off during starting. Off while cranking the engine, On once the engine is running.

Another output labeled L goes to the dashboard lamp. On while engine isn't running or cranking. Off when the engine is running.

Sorry I can't be of more help, maybe the PDF document I've attached to this post will help you.
