I'm so tired of having to shave every few days - it always grows back itchy for me and makes me look like a hobo.

If I have a lot of free time, I'll tweezer it all out, which of course works best, but does take a good hour or too.

So I'm thinking now, is it possible to just wax your face? Like they do in the salons to legs? It would be perfect, once every few weeks I guess? Quick in, remove and out ....

Or what about Immac?

Anyone ever tried anything like this before?? lol..

No way, I have to shave every day and I have sensitive skin. I can't believe you pluck them, I tried that once on two hairs and the pain! -- my eyes were streaming.

Waxing I'd imagine is just as painfull.

Girlfriend does all this girlie type stuff. Just got home from another electrolsis course

She says it is possible to wax a man's chin but unless you only have boyish bum fluff, it's not going to be the most pleasant experiance of your life.

For effective results, the hair needs to be at least 5 or 6mm long before waxing. The hair folicules in a man's chin grip the hair tighter than leg, arm, genital hair etc. and there could be bleeding. Also, if the correct equipment isn't used, it could tear the skin causing further bleeding. She refuses to do it because of the likelyhood of problems.

Don't forget to let us all know how you get on with it Ben. ;)

I used to have the same problem mate, I found that electric shaver was good, although never go more than two days without shaving or those ingrown hairs come back.

Electric is better in the sense that it does not cut the hair so short, so there is less chance of getting ingrown hair than the normal razor.

I have a Braun Series 3 390 I think, cleans itself. Very good, it took about a week for my face/me to get used to it, but now I would not go back to normal razor.

I can't even use electrics, I had a £150 Philips and it tears at the hairs, I'm in agony using it. I shave in the shower these days with Gillette disposables and use a paraffin based emulsifier -- baby soft.

Yeah it does do that occasionally, if the hairs are like 3 days growth. That £150 one I got for £70 I think, and its the one I use, has a bit in the middle to get slightly longer hairs.
