i was thinking of puttin some 17" ers on my punto MK2 so i was just wonderin if anyone could tell me if they'll fit an whether i'll need to lower aswell an if so how much can i get away with? Also whether 17" will reduce the speed a lot? Cheers

yeah 17" fit straight on mk2's. Ive got team dynamic tornardo's and ive lowered it 50mm all-round with no rubbing anywhere & no mods, a few funny noises tho but thats a fiat for u! I recon that 50mm is the max without mods cos when i 1st drove around i had to either cut the front arch liner cos it rubbed on full lock or just let if wear away. If u can afford it tho, try 18's and maybe a 45mm drop at the back and 30mm front? Im sure the rest of the guys & gals on here will be able to help u better.
(My alloys cost 600 quid wiv toyo proxes and the springs cost 89 quid, just 4 a rough costing.)
