I had a s**t day yesterday, when my rare HGT Punto Mk2b had a alloy damaged due the big potholes! this is not the first time it is third time! the first and the second was cause different potholes which it have been repaired by my alloy specialist it weren't cheap! now I am sick and fed up of damage again on my Oz ultraleggera include the tyres were expensive when I purchase it.

Now I felt should down size from 17inch to 15inch with high profile of 185/55 but this time is steel wheel I don't care how it looks it will be easy to repair and more cheap than the alloy repair.

I was not sure the size for 15 inch steel wheels that I can fit it, I know the 14 inch is measure in ET5.5 PCD 98mm with x4 studs

anyone can help me with size PCD for my 15 inch?

Thanks

Thanks

Heya

Sorry to hear about your Punto wheel being damaged!

As a suggestion have you tried claiming off the council that owns the road your car was damaged in? I did for mine for last year and It’s pending a reply, so worth a try if you can and get a reimbursement for the cost of a new one? If you can’t get the same set because they’re obsolete then claim for a new set of 4 ;-)

When I claimed I contacted the council via email then they give you a link to the claims section of their site. You’ll need two quotes with invoices from fairly reputable firms so hat you can send those invoices to the Council.

Take photos of the area, date, time road name and where the pothole is located In location to type of road eg dual carriageway, single road etc, and if you can measure said pothole Taking a pic with the measurements (too much info is better than too little for a claim)

If you have prior knowledge of this road and the pothole being there for sometime the councils by law are supposed to fill them within a certain time frame so if you know if the pothole for sure has been like that (mine was three months during winter and the p.hole wasn’t filled at all because I was driving down there quite regularly) then that would also help your claim.
It may take a few months you may be successful you may not but if successful you won’t be out of pocket at least and you can get some new ones.

Hope that helps (y)

I was asked for a claim form when I hit my first pothole in 2014, no claim! the second one I think it was in 2016, no claim with no answer from these fool council, I took them to the court with plenty of good evidence photos, and I won the case but I was award of £100! the alloy OZ it cost me £136 plus a £77 for the tyre. I ain't bother go through the process ever again it took ages to resolve this pothole claim! that is why I am buy steel wheels if it bend easy to repair and cheap. Anyway thanks for the advice.
