Well as most of you will have noticed, yesterday was a mad day of upgrading, accidental deleting and life saving recoveries!
Basically, the short story is we upgraded from vBulletin 3.6.11 to 3.7.3 - sounds simple, but a pain in the butt as loads of addons needed to be recoded, and a billion templates restyled.
Anyhoo - we got there in the end
Also upgraded was the blog system from vBlogetin to vBlog - it may not be used much at the moment, but with all the social networking features in the new vB, I'm thinking it might possibly become more popular.
The Bug Tracker got an upgrade too, as well as a whole plethora of other mods to keep everything 3.7able.
Apart from all the social networking things, this upgrade also brought in the possibility of thread prefixing. For ages people have complained about the car areas being split up, so now (if decided to keep it) we can have one section per car, with all the threads prefixed to keep them in order.
This is currently being tested on in the Bravo section - and after a week or two, we'll do a vote to evaluate how it all went.
In the meantime, look around and find all the new stuff - there will be even MORE coming in the next few weeks as vB gets another upgrade (this will be the last before the big change of version 4!)
