All 4 speakers suddenly dead

Hi all, as if I need another problem, I swear my car is just trying to get its own back as I bought a Japanese car mag the other day.

All 4 speakers have cut out, the sub still works and so does the head unit, I've messed around with the balance and fade, but they all went out with a fizz, so I'm guessing its a fuse somewhere? Ideas?

sounds to me like the speaker wires have touched each other some where and blown a fuse, or like my old stereo- the headunit amp.

No, just from the headunit

check none of the connectors are touching anything metal. one of my rear speakers (the connector) was touching the seatbelt reel cage and stopped all of the speakers working...
