Alarm/central locking probs

Having problems with the remote central locking/alarm on my 100hlx. The key fobs seem to be working as the red light flashes when pressed.....only this has no effect on the system. Any ideas guys?

I'm in exactly the same situation, took it to a Fiat garage but despite the car sitting on their forecourt all day they "didn't have the time to look at it". They did mention that the key itself might need re-programming (£70-100)

I have exactly the same problem. both keys have stopped working now and have to use manual central locking, changed batteries etc but no joy. Thing is I do not have the key code either. Will I need new keys?

Have tried using the re-tuning guide in the manual (where you use the button by the light switch above) to no avail.

Tis a pain in the arse!

Ian, if you don't have the codes, (according to my local helpfull dealer) its not just new keys but a new alarm.

Gulp, Cheers craig, could be an after market job then, prob work out cheaper.
Seems this looks like a common problem
