I just booked it in this morning for 4/4/05 (the soonest they could look at it). They told me if it was a pipe that the third year warranty would cover it, but would not cover a refridgerant charge.

that's great news. If the dealer saya that they will cover it grab it with both hands as I argued with them until they pointed out the the clause in the 3rd year warranty exclusions showing me that it wasn't covered. Good work!

It may be to with the fact that I purchased a premier Fiat 4th and 5th year coverage at the time I bought the car. That covers the a/c and makes no mention of excluded a/c parts. Watch them try to argue the point with me at time of service.

Actually, now I am more worried about the oil leak deal that I mentioned in the other post. The fact that I get intermittent low oil pressure messages at start up as well bothers me, but they do go away. I hate to be driving around for two weeks with that going on.

have you checked your oil level? if not have a look. if your oil level is OK they can't knock back any warranty claim on the grounds of you running out of oil. anything else you would hope would be a valid claim for a repair.

I used to get this message intermitently too. it seems toi have gone away though (for now anyway!)

Oil level is fine. I have never had a problem with that. It's funny (well, not really), but as soon as I saw an oil spot on the driveway and checked under the car as to what was leaking, the message appeared. I had never received that one before. I often get that the coolant temp is too high on startup, but not the one about oil pressure. I am wondering if it is the oil filter that has gone bad. I know some filters have a valve to get oil pressure correct as soon as possible on startup. I also had a flat battery last week, so that could have something to do with it. It could also be the filter that is leaking. The number of times that I have had my oil changed, only to find that I have a pool of oil under it because they had not tightened it enough. I know it is not supposed to be very tight, but when I could still spin it was pretty bad. Thanks for your help.
