My after run coolant pump appears to have stopped running, but after extensive googling, I am really struggling to even locate where this part is under the bonnet. Can't find the item listed on any parts websites either...

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I wasn't aware any Fiats had electric water pumps that run separate to the engine?

When the car was new and you turned off the ignition you used to hear it whirring away for a little while. It doesn't do that any more and I am a bit worried about shortening the life of the turbo with hot shutdowns. No warning lights or anything like that. Google does suggest that this might be an issue on 500 arbarths but I can't seem to find anything relating to the twinair.

Are you sure the noise wasn't the main cooling fan running?

If not the is the first I've heard about a secondary water pump on these engine's
Not had one myself however

I'm not 100% sure but my understanding was that the main coolant pump is pureuy mechanical (driven by the engine). There is no way that could still run with the engine and ignition off.

Oh and defo not the fan. That still works and kicks in as it is supposed to. This was a much more subtle noise.

From what I've seen on here and on Google that seems to be the only water pump on these engine's

So it looks like whatever noise you hear isn't from a pump
