When I got my car, the V5C was in the previous owners name and not the traders... and the trader was able to put 6 months tax on the car for me.
When you sell a car to the motor trader, you fill out the yellow section on the V5C document (sale/transfer to the motor trade) instead of the green section (new keeper supplement). What I'm wondering is, does the motor trade count as a new registered keeper? I'd have thought not... but I could be wrong!
same for me, i bought from a dealer, and the previous owners name was on it and not the delears, and they taxed it for me...
