Our 2001 2.8 idTD motorhome has the bog standard alarm and key chip immobiliser. In addition I've put a movement sensor & sirens that will deafen anybody who gets in (after laptop was stolen in Pisa) and we put a steel wire across the doors to make entry that way more difficult. I also use a Stoplock Pro steering wheel lock as an additional deterrent.
We figure that older vans are less collectable than newer ones but, now we have her just as we want her, we'd be devastated if she were stolen.
What are people's thoughts on putting another hidden switch controlling the fuel pump / ignition? Are there other options that people have done to stop their lovely vans being taken?
