Is it possible to add the isofix mouting brackets afterwards? They are present in mine but I have a yellow bench while the lady that needs them her interior is blue. So if possible I want to swap them over.

If I swap seats than we will have a mismatch in colors, as she has a blue and I an Yellow interior. That does not match. I checked the online junkyard website but it seems that the isofix is an rare option. Therefor the question if I can swap the isofix part inside the seat.

I will see if i can find that part then. mine has them sticking though the fabric. They seem to be embedded into the seat.

My 100HP had Isofix and IIRC i's a bar behind the (split folding in the 100HP)rearseats. Bolted onto the chassis ob the same place the seats and/or belts are bolted.
Shouldn't be that difficult.

Hi Jeroen,

are you sure it was in the panda and not a 500? according to this post https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/isofix-retro-fit.491026/#post-4618912 there is a bracket for the 500 that gives it isofix. and from what i understand the mounting points for the seats are equeal between the panda and 500. and if this is an official fiat part I can find it at the local scrapyard.

100% sure I had Isofix in the Panda as well as now in the 500 Abarth.

Is it possible that you take a picture on how it looks in the 500 especially the mounting points, and if possible can you make a rough measurement between the 2 mounting bolts and the height of seat where the isofix ancors are sticking through. with those measurements I can make a rough estimate if it will fit and check with the scapyard (or the dealer) if they have any.

It seems that in the Panda the isofix anchors are inseparably linked to the seat....

There’s at least 3 different types of rear seats

Bench
Split folding
Sliding split folding

They all use the same mounting holes as the foor pan is the same for all pandas except for the 4x4

They all could be fitted as a factory option

what’s required will depend on the seats already fitted

It took some time but the conclusion is that it does not fit without altering the bracket. The isofix for the panda is part of the rear bench seat. this can only be swapped to take of the fabric and do some grinding and welding I assume. The fiat 500 / ford Ka II seats do fit in the panda and then you can use the bracket. but that means swapping over the complete interior.

you cannot use the 500 bracket instead of the panda one. The panda one is only for the center mounting point and the bench mounts to the corner mounting holes in the floor. the 500 is a bracket that uses all. And the 500 bracket is designed for a bench seat that sits nearly flush with the floor while the panda one sits on top of the floor.

The only option would be to cut up the 500 bracket so it can sit op top of the panda bracket and seat mounting using spacers and longer bolts.
for now the project is on hold as the owner has doubts when it comes to safety and insurance.
