General Adding Aux to Doblo 2012 with highline HeadUnit.

After reading a thread in ICE re a Punto Evo that seems to have the same (at least visually if not identical part number) head unit I bought the same lead:

I can confirm that this adds AUX in to the head unit thats fitted in the SX (ie the glossy front model).

I have a android car dock that offers Aux out/Charge via USB. I have connected this to the lead from Ebay and woo hoo... can listen to tunes from my phone via the car speakers and control the volume via the HU too. Also means I can listen to internet radio as I have unlimited data. Happy days.

Sorry for the late reply.

It's a lead that plugs into the rear of the hu on one end and a standard 3.5mm male on the other. This would normally go into the headphone jack of the phone.

But, I have a car dock and suitable phone that utilises aux out via micro usb.
The lead that comes with the car dock is micro usb one end and splits into usb for power (from a normal 12v/5v accessory plug that goes into a ciggy lighter socket) and a 3.5mm male jack. Add the two together I can get aux out through the hu with just one cable.

Hi I am trying to add an AUX cable to my CD/MP3 radio HU but cannot get the unit to come out. I have had a Fiat dealership try and they could not get it to move. They suggested removing the trim work around the radio, which looks like a major job. As you have added the AUX cable please tell me what the secret is to getting the radio out.

I assume your using the forks that go into the holes either side of the hu? I inserted them and wiggled them until the unit came free.

I found that if you pull the removal rods to the out side and then with your thumbs pull the hu not on the rods with a wiggle it should free up
