Hi, first post here.

We've got a 1998 Seicento Abarth and thinking about getting a later model. I see on Wikipedia, someone has written that from 2001, ABS was standard on all models. Is this true? Hardly any cars I see advertised are described as having ABS.

Thanks.

Wiki is partially right

Its standard on schumacher models only which was about 2001 when that model came out

For the rest it was an option

Dont worry about ABS being a factor though - it isnt very good on these cars, a car without ABS will do just as good of a job

My 2001 didnt have it either

very rare option... as is air con iirc. most customers from new didnt see the need in it.. and as already said the abs is supposed to be rubbish and will still let you skid.
