Technical Abarth dashboard in other Stilo model?

Here's one for you all. Just been reading the Stilo manual about this dash, and it says that loads of the settings are done through the Connect Nav Panel (i.e. time, date, audio repeat etc).

If one does not have Connect, can one still have this dash?

Actually I have deinstalled the CN+ and sold it. Now I have the Abarth dash and the original Radio-CD I bought the car with.

No problem. The dashboard works as well as with the CN+.

Thanks. Oh, quick question for you Karateka - whats the quality of the CN stereo compared to the original? My original CD player is playing silly buggers and I might put CN in, but I don't want to lose any quality / bass.

Didn't notice much of a difference to tell you the truth.

I was really dissapointed though by the bad mp3 quality. I had many "glitches" during the songs. I tried several variable and constant compressions as well as different cd-media but the result remained bad. Might have been a faulty unit though.

Just came back from my dealer who are going to install a new instrument cluster into my car as mine is faulty. I asked them the price to install the Abarth one, as I'd have to pay the extra - it was £330+VAT!

I wanted it, but the sensible part of me kicked in so I'm having a direct replacement. Shame really

Abarth Dashboard Colour Screen?!?

Has anyone ever changed their standard Abarth dashboard with the mono screen to the nice one with the colour? Mines a 54 with Connect Nav+, and I just want that colour screen! Can it be done?

Also, anyone ever managed to change the abarth selespeed gear stick? I've wrecked mine when I caught it with my watch and it's offending my eyes!

Any advice most appreciated.

well i know it can be changed as IIRC koas old stilo had the mono screen but was 'upgraded' to the color screen at the dealers when getting warrenty work done.
though i dont know if it involved much work but i doubt it if the dealers fitted it

I changed mine, it was no work at all, just plug 'n play. You have to get your dealer to calibrate the mileage... although my car's mileage got reset to 0km when I stuck in the new instrument cluster

Where did you get it from Stripey? I would be interested in the one for sale on the forum, but it's in Kilometers and I can't be doing with that! Did the dealer charge you much when you got them to redo the mileage?

i got it from a crashed abarth. and a mate reset it for free. how much you wantin to pay for one in mph

You could get the kph one and then transfer over your dials / get some on interweb in mph as needle positions are identical

Don't tend to come across crashed Abarth's very much!?! I guess I'd pay a much as necessary really (within reason) I'd love to have the screen.

Yeah I've always wanted it; I bought a brand new one on ebay thats in KPH, so will have to work out how to change the dials somehow!!! If not it'll be back on ebay in a week or two

If I do manage to do it, I may post up a guide . . . we'll see how it goes!

make a short how to, and create it as a new thread, cos i've seen this question posted a fair few times, and I'd be interested in knowing in advance of me getting new dials.

Has anyone actually got the part code for the Abarth Dashboard with the colour screen (cruise control version) so I can try searching for it? I'd prefer to get a MPH model. I've changed dials on other cars before and broke them!

Ok,

I called Mangoletsi and they have 2 part codes for the Abarth Dash 2003 model. 51746772 (older version) and 51756707 2003 models onward. They don't have any descriptions for these though. Can anyone with the Abarth colour dashboard confirm if either of these part codes are correct and if they include models with cruise control?!? If someone can..... I can get an order in. Yeehaa.
